Artist Information

Julian Page is a contemporary painter and illustrator with a passion for working "on the spot" to create works which are direct from life. He loves to draw and paint but his favoured medium is oil paint which he expertly employs to produce stunning, lifelike depictions of urban scenes with exceptional attention to detail and colour.

Page studied Illustration at Harrow College of Art from 1985 to 1988 and has taught at Central Saint Martins school of art and the National College of Arts in Lahore, Pakistan where he worked with teachers and children to develop traditional drawing skills. The dedicated Page even led class drawing-trips around Lahore encouraging his students to draw from observation and document their surroundings much as he had been trained to do at Art College.

Page's works are in high demand and his pieces are held in many art collections; he has exhibited in numerous galleries including the Smiths Gallery, Covent Garden and the Rye Art Gallery, East Sussex.
