Artist Information

Nick sullivan AKA 'skillbucket' is a life long cartoon enthusiast, born in the east end of London in 1985 he spent much of his childhood doodling whenever and wherever he could, no surface was safe.

Between hours of reading comics and non stop drawing he managed to squeeze some school in, he studied fine art and design at college before going on to study a degree in illustration at Coventry university.

His work draws inspiration from a misspent youth, the vibrant colours and bold lines are all an homage to the comic book style. The subject matter could be described as quirky, but also draws on real life as shown in the six prints based on Leamington and Bath.The work is hand sketched, inked and finished digitally.

"there is a constant jumble of ideas floating around my head, and they live there until they can be plucked, and turned into something that makes sense, sometimes it does......but mostly not".
